About TANCET: The Tamil Nadu Common
Entrance Test is an eligibility examination for studying post graduate courses
like M.E., M.Tech., M.Arch., M.Plan., M.B.A. and M.C.A. in colleges of Tamil
Nadu, India. This examination is conducted by Anna University, Chennai.

|
A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s
degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the
case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree
examination.
(a) 10+2+3 years pattern (or) (b) 10+3 years Diploma + 3 years pattern (or) (c) B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm. (or) (d) (i) 10+2+AMIE* (or) (ii) 10+3 Years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE. |

M.C.A
|
A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s
degree of minimum 3 years duration with mathematics at 10+2 level or at
Graduate level and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates
belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.
(a) 10+2+3/4 years Pattern (or) (b) 10+3 years diploma + 3 years Pattern (or) (c) (i) 10+2+AMIE* (or) (ii) 10+3 Years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.* |

degree of minimum 3 years duration in BCA, B.Sc. (Information Technology /
Computer Science) with mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate

(or) (iii) Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts, which are prescribed. (or) (iv) M.Sc. (5 years) Integrated Degree Programme. (or) (v) B.Sc. 3 years (Computer Science / Information Technology) and M .Sc. 2 years (Computer Science / Information Technology) (vi) MCA (3 years) after 10+2+3 years bachelor’s degree. Application Fee: Application form is common for all the
three entrance tests. The candidates have to pay Rs 500/- ( Rs 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to
Tamil nadu on production of a copy of Permanent Community Certificate in card
format) as entrance test fee for any one of the programmes either 1. M.B.A. or
2. M.C.A. or 3. M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch. / M.Plan. and application should be
drawn in favour to The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai payable at
Chennai, obtained from any Nationalized bank on or after 01.04.2015.
How To Apply: Interested candidates may
apply online for the entrance test Candidate may apply online form the website
of www.onlineapp.annauniv.edu Other mode will not be accepted
Candidates may apply online from 01/04/2015 to 20/04/2015. Candidates
may fill the application correctly and completely candidates have to scanned
photo and scanned signature on the application form and submit the online
application after submitting the online application candidates have to take a
print out of online application along with the relevant documents and
application should be reach at The Secretary, TANCET, Centre for
Entrance Examinations, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025 on or before
22.04.2015, by 5.30 p.m.
