LATEST UPDATE FOR THIS POST:- For the Safety of Females in State 1 Lakh Special Police Officer (SPO) will be Recruited. These SPO will be Female, who worked as an Honorary/ Unpaid. These Special Police Officers will be named as Power Angels.
Police Department will run a Special Mission in Colleges to Recruit Special Police Officers. It should be noted that State Government has passed this Proposal.Before Starting Recruitment Process, Necessary Forms & Persona are also finalized.
What is Power Angel:- In the Year 2013, Lucknow Police had trained some College Girl Students for Check Matters related to Eve Teasing or Harassment of Females. Power Angels were trained students for Complaint in Police except Counseling of the Fellow Girls.
Work Area of POWER ANGELS:- Girls who will be Recruited as Special Police Officer will raise voice against Eve Teasing & harassment of Women. In those Matters they will provide Justice to victim with the help of Police. Training & Complaint related work will be done the mean of HELP LINE No. 1090 (Women Power Line). They will be Provided I-CARD so that Police Stations will not reject their Complaint.
► IG of Police stated that Power Angels will provided Police like I Card. These Arrangements will followed in the whole State.
NOTE:- Those Girls who want to become Special Police Officer/ Power Angel, they can get Application Form directly from College Administration. These Forms will be available in the College. Process will start Soon.
