OSSC Exam Syllabus 2015
Orissa Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) will conduct Main Written exam after preliminary exam for recruitment to posts of Sub-Inspector of Traffic under Commerce and Transport Department, Odisha. Nowadays Competition Level become very high so Competitive Exams gets too tougher. Candidates facing critical problem of “What to prepare” and “How to prepare” to give their best in their exams. So, here we are providing the latest Syllabus & Exam Pattern of SI (Traffic) Exam conducting by Orissa Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for SI (Traffic) Main written test is as follows :
► The written exam will be objective cum descriptive type.
► There will be three papers in written exam.

Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for SI (Traffic) written test is as follows :
Paper-I
Arithmetic
The questions on Arithmetic will be of HSC Standard covering the following chapter. Time & distance, time and work, decimal and fraction, percentage, profit and loss, average, simple and compound interest, rate and taxes, mixture, partnership etc.
The questions on this paper will be 100 numbers of multiple choice types to be answered in OMR Answer sheet. The Commission at their discretion may adopt negative marking @ -0.25 per wrong answer in this paper.
Paper-II
English
The questions will he of descriptive type of graduation standard and will broadly include the followings.
(i) Comprehension of a given passage.
(ii) Précis writing
(iii) Usage & vocabulary
(iv) Short essay writing
(v) Knowledge of Grammar
(vi) Common error & etc.
Paper-III
General Knowledge
The questions shall test general awareness of candidates of a variety of subjects covering various fields of knowledge as expected from any graduate. The question will he of objective type with multiple choices of’ answer in OMR answer sheet. The question on the paper will cover following field of knowledge.
(i) General Science and recent scientific technological developments
(ii) Current events of’ Nation and International importance
(iii) History of India and odisha
(iv) Geography
(v) Indian polity and economy
(vi) Constitution of India
(vii) Human rights
(viii) Any other subject on general awareness.
The Commission at their discretion may adopt the negative marking @-O.25 per wrong answer in this paper.
