About University : Sidho Kanho Birsha University is a state university established in 2010 and situated in Purulia, West Bengal, India. The university is named upon the three illustrious tribal leaders who mastered courage to put up valiant resistance against British imperialist oppression, two brothers Sidhu Murmu, Kanhu Murmu and Birsha Munda. Twenty five colleges are affiliated to the university. Among which there are nineteen degree colleges, four B.Ed colleges & one private college.
