West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) is going to conduct written test for recruitment to the posts of Cook and Baker cum Confectioner (CB 14).
Nowadays Competition Level become very high so Competitive Exams gets too tougher. So Candidates must be know that “What to prepare” and “How to prepare” for the best in their Exams. Now, here we are providing the determined latest Syllabus & Exam Pattern of Cook and Baker Exam conducting by WBSSC.
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for the Cook & Baker written test is as Follows :-
► The written test will be multiple choice objective type.
► There will be 120 Multiple Type Questions, each carrying 1 mark.
► There will be negative marks of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
► Duration of the examination will be of 01:15 hours (75 minutes).
► There will also be a Cooking Test of 20 Marks and Interview of 10 Marks after written test.
► Subject-wise distribution of marks will be as follows:-

Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Fire Engine Operator cum Driver Written Examination is given below:-
Arithmetic : The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.
General Knowledge : Questions are designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy and scientific research.
Test of Reasoning : Focus on Comprehensional Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions, arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements.
