University: Assam University is a teaching-cum-affiliating
university. The university has sixteen schools which offer Social Sciences,
Humanities, Languages, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Environmental
Sciences, Information Sciences, Technology and Management Studies. There are 35
departments under these sixteen schools. The five districts under the
jurisdiction of Assam University have 56 undergraduate college. Assam
University conducted exam for B.Tech & M.Tech courses.

shall be followed for the particular subject

Admission
Scheme: The admission for 75% of
the seats (taking 60 as the total number of seats) in the B. Tech programme
shall be filled up by Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) conducted by
the C.B.S.E. The total seats are regulated by Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB)
through all India Counselling based on the all India Rank of a candidate in the
JEE-Main.
Application
Fee: Application
fees of Rs. 300/– (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST candidates ) in the form of
a Demand Draft/ Bankers Cheque in favour of Finance Officer, Assam University,
Silchar payable at Silchar ( no other mode of payment shall be admissible).
Admission Test:
For B.Tech:
For admission to first semester M. Tech and 3rd semester B.Tech(Lateral entry)
will be held on 7 th July, 2015 followed by viva – voce on 8 th July 2015. The
University will publish the list of eligible candidates on 2 nd July, 2015 in
the respective departments as well as in the university website for appearing
in the written test. Candidates appearing in Admission Test are advised to
collect their Admit Cards from the departmental office from 3 rd July, 2015 to
11 AM of 7 th July, 2015 (No admit cards will be dispatched through post).
How To Apply: Interested candidates may apply for the post Candidates may
download the application format through the website of Assam University .
Candidates may fill the application correctly. Application should be complete
in all manner and submit the online application at the website
