Odisha TET: Odisha Teacher Eligibility
Test known as TET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is
mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class
8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for
Class 6 to Class 8. It is conducted by both Central government and State
governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET. The test is conducted
in order fulfill and achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and
Compulsory Education Act.

Higher
Secondary (+2 or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma
in Elementary Education (CT)/ 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
approved by RCI. (Rehabilitation Council of India)/Graduation with 2-year
Diploma in Elementary Education (CT) / 2-year Diploma in Special Education
approved by RCI.

with at least 50% marks with 1 year Bachelor in Education (B Ed)/ 1 year B.
Ed. (Special Education) approved by RCI./Higher Secondary (+2 or its
equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed (integrated
Course).

Examination
Pattern: There are two papers
(Paper-I & II) and the duration of each paper is one hour and Thirty
Minutes for 150 MCQ (Multiple Questions in each paper). The details syllabus is
available in the Board’s website www. bseorissa.in and www. scertorissa.org The
minimum pass mark in each paper is 60%. In case of SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PH the
minimum pass mark is 50%. The results shall be processed on the basis of the
information provided by the candidates in their OMR Application Forms and OMR
Answer Sheets and no complaints shall be entertained after submission of the
application forms
Application Fee: The candidates are
required to pay cash of Rs. 350/– per each paper at the
respective Nodal Centre to collect the OMR application form, Instruction Sheet,
Acknowledgement Car and the cash receipt from the Officer-in- Charge.
How
To Apply: Candidates may download
the application form through the website of OTET. Candidates may fill the
application properly along with the Original and self attested photocopies of
the required certificates in respect of their academic and training qualifications
Original and self attested photocopies of the certificate in respect of
SC/ST/OBC/SEBC to claim the relaxation Physically Handicapped Certificate duly
countersigned by the CDMO (for candidates having 40% or more disability Self
attested down loaded photocopy of the result of the OTET-2012. (For failed
candidates of OTET-2012) Original Cash Receipt and application should be submit
at OTET Office.
