DM/ Mch Entrance Exam 2015
Notice SVIMSET: Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS),
Tirupati, established in the year 1993, under the aegis of Tirumala Tirupati
Devasthanams, as a modern super speciality hospital, was granted the status of
a university in the year 1995 by an act of A.P. State legislature vide act
no.12 of 1995. The objectives of the Institute.
Eligibility
Criteria: The candidate should have passed MD/MS/DNB qualification from
the Medical college/ Institutions recognized by MCI are eligible to apply.
Admit
Card: Admit Card for the
Computer based Entrance test shall be available for download to the eligible
candidates, whose applications are complete and accurate in all aspects from
the date notified in the Admission Calendar. The Admit card will contain
Application Number, Name, Photo, Signature date, time and Venue of the Entrance
test. For any queries, the candidate should contact through Email: vimspget@gmail.com.
Pattern
Of Examination:
1. The computer based entrance test shall be conducted by Sri
Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupati.
2. Each subject will have a separate question paper consists of 100 MCQs in the speciality concerned.
3. The duration of the exam is 90 minutes
4. All the questions will be of one best/ correct response type having four alternatives.
5. Each answer with correct response shall be awarded one mark.
6. There is no negative mark for incorrect response.
7. Zero mark will be given for the questions not answered.
8. Candidates indulging in malpractice during the entrance test will be disqualified. The malpractice information will be forwarded to Medical Council of India for necessary action in addition to the action taken by the institution.
9. The candidates appearing for entrance test will not be paid any dearness/ traveling allowance.
10. The question paper and provisional answer key will be released and placed in the institute as notified in the Admission Calendar.
11. The objections (if any) on the key will be received through e-mail: svimspget@gmail.com up to 5.00 pm on the date notified in the Admission Calendar.
12. The final key and Merit list will be displayed in the official website of the institute on the date notified in the Admission Calendar.

Merit
List:
1. Selection of candidates
for PG Super-specialty (DM/MCh) courses will be made on the basis of rank
obtained in the entrance test.
2. The candidates who secured a minimum of 50% marks in the entrance test will only be qualified to appear for the counseling.
3. Merit list will be prepared and rank shall be allotted in the order of merit based on the marks obtained in the entrance test.

Counseling:
1. The schedule of counseling will be notified in the SVIMS
website. No communication will be sent to the candidates individually.
2. The qualified candidates have to report for counseling in person with Rank card, application abstract and other required original documents.
3. No proxy/ representative are permitted under any circumstances into the counseling hall.
4. The seats shall be offered for admission to those candidates in the order of merit who attend the counseling on the date notified in the website as per the rules of admission.
5. No request shall be entertained either for postponing the date of counseling or to appear at a later or earlier date. In case, a candidate fails to report for counseling, the seat shall be offered to the next merit candidate as per the admission rules
