Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to conduct aCBRT (written test) for recruitment to :
 147 posts of Drugs Inspector in Central Drugs Standard Control Organization under Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare with reference toAdvertisement No. 04/2015 published on 28.02.2015, Vacancy No. 15020403128, Item No. 03.

 7 posts of Drugs Inspector in Drugs Control Department, Health and Family Welfare Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi with reference to Advertisement No. 07/2015 published on 11.04.2015, Vacancy No. 15040707111, Item No. 7.
 20 Posts of Stores Officer in Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defence with reference toAdvertisement No. 03/2015 published on 14.02.2015, Vacancy No. 15020301414, Item No. 01.

CBRT (Written Test) : In terms of provisions contained in the above advertisement, the Commission have decided to conduct a Combined COMPUTER BASED RECRUITMENT TEST for shortlisting the candidates. Written examination for these posts will be held in the month of July, 2015.
Date of Written Exam (CBRT) :


Stores Officer : 26.07.2015 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. (Reporting Time: 08:30 A.M.)
Drug Inspector : 26.07.2015 from 02:00 P.M. to 04:00 P.M. (Reporting Time: 12:30 P.M.)

UPSC Admit Card 2015 : Candidates who have applied for the aforementioned posts against three of those advertisement have to appear for CBRT (written test). They must have a valid Admit Card/ Hall Ticket to get enter on exam centre for Drug Inspector and Stores Officer written examination. SCHEME & SYLLABUS FOR CBRT

Stores Officer
I. Scheme of the Test:

(a) The test will be of two hours duration and the medium of the test will be both Hindi and English except those pertaining to English Language Skills which will be set in English only.
(b) The test will be an objective type with multiple choices of answers and will carry a maximum of 100 marks.
(c) There will be penalty for wrong answer. Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to that question. If no answer is marked for a question, there will be no penalty for that question.

II. Syllabus of the Test:

1. Basic English Language Skills
2. Material Management
3. General Financial Rules
4. General Mental Ability, Data Analysis, Logical Reasoning
5. Current Events of National and International Importance
6. Indian Union and International Affairs.

Drug Inspector
I. Scheme:

(a) The test will be of two hours duration and the medium of the test will be English only.
(b) The test will be an objective type with multiple choices of answers and will carry a maximum of 100 marks.

II. Syllabus :

It comprises the following broad areas:
(i) Basic Knowledge in Pharmaceutical Chemistry – Chemistry of Drugs, their uses-Pharmacological and Toxicological effects of Drugs.
(ii) Knowledge in manufacturing and evaluation of Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms.
(iii) Knowledge in Analysis of Drug formulations and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.
(iv) Procedures involved in collection of blood and preparation of its components.
(v) Procedures involved in production of Vaccines, Sera and Biotech products.
(vi) Good Manufacturing Practices in manufacturing activity.
(vii) Good Laboratory Practices in analysis of Drugs and Cosmetics.
(viii) Good Clinical Practices.
(ix) Knowledge of Investigational skills.
(x) Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules with respect to Clinical Trials, Manufacture, Sale and Import of Drugs, Medical Devices and Cosmetics.
(xi) Basic Principles of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics.
(xii) Basic Knowledge of Computer Applications
(xiii) English Language Proficiency.
