WB TET: West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. It is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET. The test is conducted in order fulfill and achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act.

Eligibility Criteria : Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks (45% for the SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PH, EC, Ex-Serviceman and DH category candidates).

OR

Graduation from any recognized university, irrespective of percentage of marks therein.

Qualifying Marks: A candidate who will score 60% and above of the full marks (150) in the TET will be considered as a TET 2014 passed candidate. A relaxation by 5% ( 55%) will be the qualifying mark for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PH, EC, Ex-Serviceman and DH.

How To Apply: Candidates may fill the application through the website of WB TET. Candidates may fill the online application form through the website of www.wbsed.gov.in . Candidates may fill the application correctly along with the relevant. Candidates have to upload scanned signature  and scanned photo on the application form and submit the online application.
