CGPSC Exam Syllabus 2015

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) will conduct a Written (Online) Test for recruitment to vacant posts of Boiler Inspector. Nowadays Competition Level become very high so Competitive Exams gets too tougher. So, Candidates are too much worry regards their preparations to give their best in the Exam. So Candidates must be know that “What to prepare” and “How to prepare” for the best in their Exams. Now, here we are providing the latest Syllabus & Exam Pattern of Boiler Inspector Online Exam conducting by CGPSC.

Exam Pattern : Scheme of Exam for the CGPSC Boiler Inspector Exam(On-line) is as Follows:-
► The Written Exam(On-line) will be Multiple Choice Objective Type.
► There will be a composite paper in written exam containing 150 questions of 300 marks.
► The Duration of Test is 03:00 Hours (180 Minutes).
► There shall be negative marking of 01 mark on every wrong answer.

Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Boiler Inspector written Exam is given below:-

Part-1 General Knowledge of Chhattisgarh
1. History of Chhattisgarh and contributions of Chhattisgarh in freedom struggle.
2. Geography, water, mineral resources, climate and physical conditions.
3. Literature, music, dance, art and culture of Chhattisgarh.
4. Tribals, dialects, teej and festivals of Chhattisgarh.
5. Economy, forest and agriculture of Chhattisgarh.
6. Administrative structure of Chhattisgarh, local government and Panchayati Raj.
7. Human Resources and energy resources in Chhattisgarh.
8. Education, health and contemporary events in Chhattisgarh.

Part-2 BOILER
1. Boilers Act — 1923 (with latest amendments) & its provisions. definition of terms like accident, boiler, steam pipe line, manufacturer, owner, Inspecting Authority, Competent Authority & Competent Person etc. Provision for certification & registration of boilers. Role & responsibilities of Competent Person. Inspector, Chief Inspector, Inspecting Authority, Competent Authority & Central Boilers Board.
2. Indian Boiler Regulations — 1950 (with latest amendments) & its provisions, materials of construction, construction & workmanship. calculation for working pressure of various parts of boilers, requisite mountings & fittings for a boiler, steam pipes & fittings. procedure of registration of boiler, steam test, procedure for inspection & repairs of boilers & pipe lines during USC, qualification & certification of welders.
3. Types & classification of boilers, water circuit & steam circuit, feed water heaters, feed water control stations, criteria for adopting pressure reducing & desuper heating stations (PRDS), chemical treatment and quality’ of feed water, working & management of steam boilers, super heaters, reheaters, attemperators & economizer.
4. Calculation of coal & water and quality of steam that may be generated for a given heating surface under various systems of draught in any land boiler, calculations of overall efficiency of boiler plant. calculations of height of chimneys & calculations of heating surface area of boiler.
5. Various methods of non destructive testing like radiographic testing, dye penetrate test, magnetic particle testing. ultrasonic testing for various welds on pipes. tubes, headers & drum. Mechanical testings like tensile test, bend test & impact test. Preheating & heat treatments after welding in pipes. tubes, headers, shells for various sizes & materials. Significance & criteria of remnant life assessment of boilers, safety of persons working inside boilers.
