OSSC Exam Admit Card 2015

Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) will conduct a Written Test for recruitment to 21 posts of Inspector of Legal Metrology under the Food Supply and Consumer Welfare Department. Written Test of Legal Metrology Inspector likely to be held in the month of July, 2015 and exact date will be communicated to the candidates through admit card.

Date of Examination : 5th July, 2015 (Tentative)

Admit Card : The Commission shall upload the Admission letter for the convenience of the admitted candidates on its Website. “www.odishassc.in”. The candidate has to go to the website of the Commission click on the button ‘candidates login’ and then provide ‘user Id’ and ‘password’ upon which the status of the application will be displayed on the screen. The Candidates who have been admitted in to the examination can download the admission letter before some days of exam date.

Plan of Examination

The written examination will comprise of two papers having all objective type questions with multiple choice of answers.

Paper-I :- Composite Paper of 100 marks & two hours duration.
(i) English – 25 marks
(ii) Odia – 25 marks
(iii) General Studies – 50 marks

This paper consists of 100 questions of multiple choices of answers to test the proficiency in (i) English and Odia language (comprehension, usage, vocabulary and grammar etc.)-50 marks (25 marks each) (ii) General Studies-50 marks (General Knowledge including current social and cultural issues, General Science, Indian Geography, History and Polity, questions on reasoning ability and quantitative aptitude. The question will be of graduate level examination.

Paper-II :- Technical Paper- 100 marks of two hours duration.

This paper consists of 100 questions of multiple choices of answers on the subject from Physics of B.Sc. standard and 1st year Diploma and Engineering course.

Viva-Voce Test :- The viva-voce mark is 20 marks. Based on the performance in the written examination, candidates numbering up to 3 times the number of vacancies in the respective categories will be called for Viva-Voce Test.

CAUTION : Mobile phone or any other communication device is not allowed into the premises of the OSSC examination centre. The candidates are advised not bring any such banned items to the examination centre venue, arrangements for safe keeping cannot be assured. A fly infringement of these instructions might entail debarment of the concerned candidate from the particular examination.
