OSSC Exam Admit Card 2014-15
Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) will conduct a written exam for recruitment for 02 posts of Odia Translator under the Government in Information & Public Relation Department. Exam of Odia Translator will be held in the month of March, 2015 at Bhubaneswar.
Examination Date : March, 2015
Admit Card : The Commission shall upload the Admission letter for the convenience of the admitted candidates on its Website. “www.odishassc.in”. The candidate has to go to the website of the Commission click on the button ‘candidates login’ and then provide ‘user Id’ and ‘password’ upon which the status of the application will be displayed on the screen. The Candidates who have been admitted in to the examination can download the admission letter before some days of exam date.
PLAN OF EXAM
| a) Descriptive Type Written test on Odia & English | 100 Marks (02:00 hours) | 35 minimum qualifying marks |
| b) Basic Computer Skill with Odia DTP | 25 Marks (1/2 hours) | 10 minimum qualifying marks |
| c) VIVA-VOCE | 25 Marks (1/2 hours) | |

Syllabus : The examination will comprise, of three papers i.e. General English & English, Odia and computer skill with Odia DTP. Questions on Odia shall cover (Grammar from both the languages, translation paragraphs for judicial orders, précis and paragraph writing and retranslation of essay writing, letter writing etc. including comprehension of words, phrases and idioms, vocabulary, grammar and usage.
CAUTION : Mobile phone or any other communication device is not allowed into the premises of the OSSC examination centre. The candidates are advised not bring any such banned items to the examination centre venue, arrangements for safe keeping cannot be assured. A fly infringement of these instructions might entail debarment of the concerned candidate from the particular examination.
