OSSC Exam Syllabus 2014-15
Orissa Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) will conduct Physical Test and Written exam for recruitment to the posts of Traffic Constable in OMVD under Commerce & Transport Department, Govt. of Odisha. Nowadays Competition Level become very high so Competitive Exams gets too tougher. Candidates facing critical problem of “What to prepare” and “How to prepare” to give their best in their exams. So, here we are providing the latest Syllabus & Exam Pattern of Traffic Constable Exam conducting by Orissa Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).

Physical Standard Measurement & Physical Test :-
(a) The candidate must have possessed the following Physical Standard to be eligible for the post.

(b) The candidates who will qualify in the physical standard prescribed above will be required to undergo the following physical test :

(c) The candidates qualifying in the Physical Measurement and Physical Test will be allowed to appear in the written examination. The Commission shall constitute Physical Test Board at district level for each Physical test centre. The decision of the Board shall be final.
Written Exam :-
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for Traffic Constable written test is as follows :
► The Written Examination will be of objective type.
► The questions with multiple choices of answers to be responded by the candidates in the OMR answer sheet.
► The duration of the examination shall be of one & half hour.
► There will be total 85 questions carrying one mark each.
► The questions will be asked proportionately from Odia Language, English Language, Arithmetic, General Knowledge etc. of +2 standard.
Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Traffic Constable written test is as follows :
Odia/English Language : Articles, Prepositions, Conjunctions, Tenses, Verbs, Synonyms & Antonyms, Vocabulary, Sentence structure, Proverbs, Phrases, question from a small unseen passage etc.
Arithmetic : Number systems, Computation of whole numbers, Decimals and fractions, Relationship between numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ration and Proportion, Profit and loss, Simple interest, Average, Discount, Partnership, Time & work, Time & distance , Use of tables and graphs, Mensuration.
General Knowledge : Geography, Indian History, Freedom struggle, Culture and Sports, General Polity and Constitution of India, Economics, General science, Current affairs and Reasoning & Analytical ability of +2 Level.
Evaluation of academic career :-
There shall be a career marking out of total 15 marks for performance in +2 certificates or equivalent examination. The break up of marks for career evaluation will be as follows.
60% and above – 15 Marks
50% and above — 10 Marks
40% and above – 05 Marks
Below 40% – No Marks
