NOTE:- Staff Selection Commission has a nationwide network of Regional/Sub-regional Offices. One of Regional Office is located at Kolkata which is eminently known as Eastern Region. States likeWest Bengal, Orrisa, Jharkhand, A&N Island, Sikkim came under this region.
The Commission also conducts examinations for various specialized posts as and when requisitions are received form the Central Government Departments. Since such posts are specialized, recruitment is through Interview, though the Commission reserves the right for screening. For other examinations like Stenographers, skill tests are held, after necessary screening.
