West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) is going to conduct Written Examination (Main) after the completion of Preliminary for West Bengal Forest Service (WBFS) and West Bengal Subordinate Forest Service (WBSFS). Admission to the examination is provisional subject to verification of eligibility of the candidates in all respects on the basis of the original certificates to be furnished when asked for by the Commission.
Candidates should note that if at any stage after issue of the admit card they are found to be ineligible for admission to the examination in terms of advertisement for the examination, their candidature will be cancelled without further reference to them.
Examination Date : 16th to 29th January, 2015.
Admit Card : Admit Cards along with detailed programme of examination will be sent to the qualified candidates in due course. Candidates who do not receive the same by the 12th January, 2015may download their duplicate admit cards from the Commission’s website http://www.pscwb.org.in on the 13th, 14th & 15th January, 2015 round the clock.
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for Forest Service Main written exam is as Follows:-
► The written examination shall be held in two Groups – (a) Compulsory Subjects; (b) Optional Subjects.
► Each Paper will be of 03:00 hours (180 minutes).
► Each compulsory and optional Paper will consist of 100 and 200 marks respectively.
► There will also be a Personality Test of 200 (100 for Subordinate) marks after written exam.
Important – If any candidate finds that the examinations in more than one optional subject offered by him/her fall on the same day(s), the fact should be reported to the commission’s office at 161-A, S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata-700 026 forthwith and in any case not later than the 15 January, 2015.
