West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) is going to conduct Common Preliminary Screening Test for the recruitment to the post of Assistant Director of Agriculture in W.B. Agricultural Service (Administrative) and Assistant Botanist, Assistant Agricultural Chemist/ Analytical Chemist/ Jr. Soil Scientist, and Assistant Agronomist in W.B. Agricultural Service (Research) under the Agriculture Deptt., Govt. Of West Bengal.

Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for Agriculture Service Pre written exam is as Follows :-
► The written examination shall be multiple choice objective type.

► The question paper will be of 100 marks.

► The time duration for test shall be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).

3. Rural Resource Survey & development planning.
4. Methods of Agril Extension — training, demonstration, publications.
5. Commercial Farm Enterprise Management: finance, Human resource, time & business.
6. Design of experiments, sampling, statistical analysis.
7. Computer application: information, networking and website browsing.
8. Agro climatic Zones of West Bengal: resources and prospects.
9. Agro meteorology & remote sensing.
Crop Production:
1. Field crops, cereals, pulses, oilseeds, fibers, sugar crops — Rice, Wheat, Maize, Chick Pea, Pigeon Pea, Mustard, Sunflower, Groundnut, Jute, Cotton, Sugarcane, Sugar beet.
2. Vegetable crops — Summer, Winter.
