JSSC Forest Guard Exam Syllabus 2015
Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) is going to organize Jharkhand Forest Guard Competitive Examination-2014 {JFGCE-2014}. There are two stages in this exam, first is Preliminary written test and second is Mains written exam. The standard of Competition level is raising with the time period as we are going onwards and time passing away rapidly. So candidate should knows that what should they have to prepare for their performance in examination. Candidates who are going to face this exam and are ignoramus about the scheme and syllabus. Now, here we are providing recommended latest exam pattern and syllabus.
Preliminary Examination
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for Forest Guard Preliminary written Exam is as Follows :-
► The written examination will be multiple choice/objective type.
► There will be one composite paper containing 120 questions.
► 03 marks will be awarded for every right answer and 01 markshall be deducted for every wrong answer.
► Time duration will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
► The language of Test will be English/Hindi.

Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Forest Guard Preliminary exam is given below:-
General Studies : Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India, Jharkhand and its neighboring countries.
(i) Contemporary Topics – Scientific Development, National/International awards, Indian languages, books, scripts, capital, currency, sports-sportsmen, important events.
(ii) India – Indian History, culture, geography, economy, freedom movement, and the constitution of India and state, Polity of Country, Panchayati Raj, Community Development, Five-year plans and contribution of Jharkhand in National Movement.
Mental Ability & Reasoning Test : Questions will be asked both verbal and non-verbal type. Focus on Comprehensional Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions, arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements.
Basic Knowledge of Computer : In this questions will be asked related to information of computer appliances, applications and their method of operations.
Mains Examination
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for Forest Guard Main written Exam is as Follows :-
► The written examination will be multiple choice/objective type.
► There will be three composite papers.
► 03 marks will be awarded for every right answer and 01 markshall be deducted for every wrong answer.
► Time duration will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes) for each paper.

Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Forest Guard Mains exam is given below:-
PAPER-I Local Languages [80 questions]
In this paper, comprehension in local/regional language will be tested of the candidates.
PAPER-II (Hindi, English, Maths) [120 questions]
In this paper, there will be 40-40 questions for each Hindi, English and Mathematics. The standard of this paper will be matriculation.
PAPER-III (General Studies) [120 questions]
In this paper, there will be 40 questions from general knowledge, 40 questions from Intellectual Knowledge, 20-20 questions from each of Reasoning and computer knowledge.
