Tripura Public Service Commission has conducted a screening test for the recruitment of Lower Division Assistant-cum-Typist vide Advt No 10/2014 (Item No-02) dated 07.08.2014 and Personal Assistant, Grade-II under GA(P&T) Department , Govt. of Tripura vide Advt No 05/2014 dated 22.04.2014. Screening Test/Preliminary examination will be held in the month of April, 2015 as per programme. Exam was conducted on 12 April, 2015.
TYPING TEST DATE :
For Lower Division Assistant cum Typist : 12 June, 2015
For Personal Assistant : 23, 24, 25 June, 2015
INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATE FOR SHORTHAND TEST:
The candidate must carefully study the following instructions:-
1. Shorthand Writing note book, Typewriter machine and blank-sheet of paper for Transcription will be supplied by the Commission.
2. The candidates should bring his/her pencil and eraser.
3. The candidates must bring Provisional Admission Certificate issued to him/her. The time allowed for Dictation, adjustment of Typewriter machine and transcription is as follows:-
(i) Dictation:-5 (five) minutes [@ 100 (one hundred) words per minute]
(ii) Study of the shorthand note:-5 (five) minutes.
(iii) Adjustment of Typewriter machine:-5(five) minutes.
(iv) Transcription:-35 (thirty-five) minutes.
The procedure for dictation and transcription shall be as follows:
(a) Before the commencement of real dictation, candidates will be given one trial dictation of 2(two) minutes duration. Thereafter, the real dictation will be given.
(b) As soon as the dictation is over, candidate should proceed for transcription. Then he/she will write his/her Roll number on the transcription sheet, put his /her full signature and read his/her shorthand note silently for 5(five) minutes. Thereafter, the candidates will adjust his/her typewriter machine for which 5(five) minutes are allowed.
(c) Time for commencement of the transcription will be announced as soon as the adjustment of typewriter machine is over by ringing a bell. Thereafter, he/she will be given a time of 35(thirty five) minutes to complete his/her entire work i.e. transcription, comparison etc, end of which will also be announced by ringing a bell.
(d) The candidates must transcribe the shorthand note with the typewriter provided to his/her table on the sheet of paper supplied to him/her for the purpose in double space and one side of the paper only.
