Assam Public Service Commission
(APSC) will conduct a
Preliminary Screening Test then Mains Written Examination for recruitment to
the vacant posts of Junior Administrative Assistant. Nowadays Competition Level
become very high so Competitive Exams gets too tougher. So, Candidates are too
much worry regards their preparations to give their best in the Exam. So
Candidates must be know that “What to prepare” and “How to prepare” for the
best in their Exams. Now, here we are providing the latest Syllabus & Exam
Pattern of Jr. Administrative Assistant Written Exam conducting by APSC.
SELECTION PROCESS : The Selection shall comprise of 4(Four) stages
:-
(i) Preliminary Screening Test – 100 Marks
(ii) Written Examination – 300 Marks
(iii) Computer Practical – 50 Marks
(iv) Viva-Voce – 50 Marks

Preliminary Screening Test
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for the APSC Pre Written
Exam is as Follows:-
► The Preliminary examination will be OCR/OMR based examination
with questions of Objective type Multiple Choice.
► There shall be only 1(one) paper on General Knowledge and General English of Degree standard.
► The paper will consist of 100 Nos. of questions and each question will bear 1 mark.
► The duration will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).

Exam Syllabus :
General English : Verb, preposition, adverb, subject verb
agreement, Error Correction/ recognition, tenses, sentences rearrangement, fill
in the blanks with articles etc., comprehension, answering questions based on
unseen passage, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms usage, vocabulary &
grammar, Proficiency in the language.
General Knowledge : In this objective of questions about
general knowledge of surrounding society of the candidates to test the
awareness about surrounding activities. Questions will also be included
towards a scientist sight and thinking which expected from an educated person.
So, candidates should must focus on affairs about India and its adjacent
countries too. Scientific Progress/Development, National/International Awards,
Indian Languages, Books, Script, Capital, Currency, Sports-Athlete such as
essential knowledge.
Quantitative Aptitude : The candidate will be tested for general
mathematics of upto 10th Standard involving number systems, equations in two
variables, simple and compound interest, perimeter area and volume of
geometrical figures, Direct and inverse proportions, Pythagoras theorem and
trigonometry.
Elementary Knowledge on
Computer : This part is to
check candidate familiarity with computer. Question will be ask from computer
basic, input, output, memory, Software, BIOS, Internet, MS word, MS excel,
Computer Shortcuts, Computer Architecture, Computer Abbreviations etc.
