Recruitment of Constables/ Head Constable (Male & Female) in
Delhi Police is done by a Recruitment Board appointed by Commissioner of Police. Candidates from all Parts of

Employment Exchange of Delhi and Central Employment Exchange on all India

The applicants are required to appear for Physical Examination, Written Test,

For Assistant Commissioner of
Police the entire
process is conducted and carried out by the Union Public Service Commission
(UPSC) and candidates
are selected through Civil Services Examination.

For Male
Candidates :
Constable- 18 to 21 Years.
Constable (Driver)- 21 to 30 Years.
Sub Inspector- 18 to 25 Years.
For Female Candidates: Constable- 18 to 25 Years.
Sub Inspector-18 to 25 Years. Upper age limit is Relaxable
for SC/ST/OBC and Widow/divorced women/judicially separated Candidates etc. as
per Govt. rules.
Qualification for Constable :
12th Pass
Physical Standard :
For Male Candidates : Height– 170 cm. (165 cm Only for SC/ST Candidates) Weight– According to Height But Min. 50 Kg. Chest– 81 to 85 cm. (75 cm Only for ST and Hill
Area Candidates). 5 cm. Phulav Compulsory.
For Female Candidates : Height– 157 cm. (155 cm Only for SC/ST Candidates). Weight– Min. 40 Kg. Compulsory
Physical Efficiency Test :
Male Candidates : Race– 1.6 Km. in 07 Minutes. and Long Jump- 12.5 Feet High Jump- 3.5 Feet
Female Candidates : Race- 1.6 Km. in 08 Minutes. Long Jump- 10 Feet High Jump- 3 Feet
