HPPSC Exam Syllabus 2015
Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) will conduct a Written exam for filling up such posts as H.P. Administrative Services, H.P. Police Services, Tehsildar, Excise & Taxation Officer, Block Development Officer, District Panchayat Officer, Manager, District Industries Centre, District Welfare-cum-Probation Officers, Assistant, Registrar Co-operative Societies, District Employment Officer, District Treasury Officer, District Food & Civil Supplies Controller and Assistant Controller, Weights & Measures. Nowadays Competition Level become very high so Competitive Exams gets too tougher. Candidates facing critical problem of “What to prepare” and “How to prepare”. So, here we are providing the latest Syllabus & Exam Pattern of HPAS (Pre) Exam conducting by HPPSC for the best preparations of Candidates who are going to participate in this Competitive Exam.
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for the HPAS Preliminary written Exam is as Follows:-
► The written test will be multiple choice objective type.
► There will be two composite papers i.e. Paper-I General Studies (Code No. 01) & Paper-II Aptitude Test (Code No. 02).
► Both question paper will comprise of 100 questions carrying 200 marks in total.
► There will also be negative marking.
► There are four alternatives for the answers to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one third of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for HPPSC HPAS Pre written Exam is given below:-
Paper-I General Studies (Code No.01)
 History, geography, political, art & culture and socio economic development of Himachal Pradesh.
 Currents events of national and international importance.
 History of India and Indian national movement.
 Indian and World Geography-physical, social, economic geography of India and the world.
 Indian polity and governance –Constitution, political system, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights issues, etc.
 Economic and social development – sustainable development poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives, etc.
 General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate Change – that do not require subject specialization
 General science.
Paper-II Aptitude Test (Code No.02)
 Comprehension
 Interpersonal skills including communication skills
 Logical reasoning and analytical ability
 Decision making and problem solving
 General mental ability
 Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. – Class X level).
 English Language comprehension skills (Class X level)
