About Himachal Pradesh University: Himachal Pradesh University  is a public non-profit university located in Shimla. It is wholly financed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh and the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) conducted entrance exam for B.Ed Courses.

Age Limitation & Relaxation:  There is no upper age limit for candidates applying to the regular B.Ed. Course of one year. [ High Court orders in LPA No.: 104 of 2012 decided on August 27, 2012 ].

Eligibility Criteria:

1. The candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree (Medical/Non-Medical//Commerce/Arts) and/or in the Master’s Degree or any other qualification equivalent thereto (any candidate with 49.99 % or less Marks would not be eligible) and 45% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped categories (any candidate with 44.99% or less Marks would not be eligible) from a recognized University established by law in India are eligible for admission to the programme.

2. The candidates who have appeared in BA /B.Sc./B.Com. final year or Master’s Degree examination and the result of the same has not yet been declared, can also apply for B.Ed. Entrance Test.  Admission will be made subject to the production of certificate of qualifying examination with required percentage of aggregate marks at BA/B.Sc./B.Com./Master’s level examinations as per the eligibility.

Exam Patter: The B.Ed. Entrance Test will consist of one question paper with 150 MCQ type of one mark each and will be of 2 hours duration. There will be no negative marking and will include the following five sections:

Admit Card: The University will provide the facility of downloading the Admit Cards for appearing to B.Ed Entrance Test – 2015 on the University Website www.hpuniv.in. The candidates are required to download the Admit cards from the website by following the instructions given therein. The candidate may please note that Admit cards will not be sent by post.

Application Fee: The fee for applying B.Ed Entrance Test is Rs 600/ ‐for General/OBC & their sub ‐ Categories and Rs 300/‐ for SC/ST & their sub – Categories. Candidates may pay application fee online through net banking by using debit/Credit card of any bank. Other payment modes in which challan is generated and the application has to take the print out of that challan to the nearest SBI branch for depositing the cash. 

How to Apply For This Post : Eligible candidates may full fill the above criteria may apply for the entrance exam. Other mode will not be accepted. Before applying for the entrance test candidates read all the instruction given at the website. Candidates have to submit the scanned photo and scanned signature on the application. Candidates fill the application carefully and correctly before submit the online application candidates may check the application form and submit the online application. After clicking on ‘ Submit’ button new window will appear on the Screen displaying full details of the applicant and then entered in the application form. Take the print out of the same page and attach the copy of payment receipt along with the computer generated confirmation copy of the application form.
