Indian Air Force offers opportunities for UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS from the designated Districts of State of Kerala and Union Territories of Mahe & Lakshadweep to become airmen. The Recruitment Test for Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades and Group ‘Y’ {For Automobile Technician, Ground Training Instructor and Indian Air Force (Police)} Trades will be held at 14 Airmen Selection Centre, Air Force, VII/302-B, Vayu Sena Road, Kakkanad, Kochi (Kerala) from 26 March 2015 to 03 April 2015 as per the Selection Programme given below.
Brief Details of Job Vacancies : Recruitment Test for Group X (Technical) Trades and Group Y For Automobile Technician Ground Training Instructor and Indian Air Force (Police)} Trades will be held at 14 Airmen Selection Centre, Air Force, VII/302-B, Vayu Sena Road, Kakkanad, Kochi (Kerala) from 26 March 2015 to 03 April 2015.
Registration Schedule : All eligible candidates are required to fill the Registration Form (typed on A4 size paper) format as given below and report to registration venue along with duly filled registration format and original documents. Candidates from the Districts of Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Wayanad, Malappuram, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Thrissur, Kasargod, UTs of Mahe & Lakshadweep will be eligible for registration for group ‘Y’ {Automobile Technician, Ground Training Instructor and Indian Air Force (Police)} Trades. Candidates from the districts of Ernakulam, Wayanad, Malappuram, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Thrissur, Kasargod, UTs of Mahe & Lakshadweep will be eligible for registration for Group ‘X’ TRADES. Eligible candidates will be given specific date, time & venue for reporting and appearing in selection process as per selection programme given at Para 3 below. The Registration for the Recruitment Rally will be done at 14 Airmen Selection Centre, Air Force, VII/302-B, Vayu Sena Road, Kakkanad, Kochi (Kerala) as per the following schedule.

Age Limitation & Relaxation : (a) Candidates should be born between 01 August 1995 to 30 November 1998 (both days inclusive). (b) Upper age limit on date of enrolment is 21 years.
Salary : Monthly Pay. During training, a stipend of Rs. 11,400/- per month will be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Grade Pay, Military Service Pay (MSP), Group ‘X’ Pay {applicable for Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades only} and Dearness Allowance (DA) will be as follows:-
(a) Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades. Rs. 24,900/- per month (approximately) which, in subsequent years, may rise up to Rs. 43,940/- per month (approximately).
(b) Group ‘Y’ {For Automobile Technician, Ground Training Instructor and Indian Air Force (Police)} Trades. Rs. 20,500/- per month (approximately) which, in subsequent years, may rise up to Rs. 38,720/- per month (approximately).
Other allowances such as Transport allowance, Technical Allowance {applicable for Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades only}, Composite personal maintenance allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration allowance (LRA), Family planning allowance, HRA etc. are also admissible to airmen.
Educational Qualification :
(a) For Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trades.
(i) Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and English, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
(ii) Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in overall aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course.
For Group ‘Y’ {For Automobile Technician, Ground Training Instructor and Indian Air Force (Police)} Trades.
(i) Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central/State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Or
(ii) Passed Two years Vocational Course affiliated/recognized by CBSE / State Education Boards / Councils duly recognized at par with 10+2 by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course.
Selection Program : Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7 AM onwards as per the details given below. Candidates Will Be Allowed To Appear As Per The Time & Date Allotted During Pre Registration Form 02/03/2015 to 04/03/2015
