India Post Exam Syllabus 2015
India Post had recently invited application to fill up the posts of Multi-Tasking Staff and Postman for Maharashtra Circle. India Post will adopt an appropriate selection procedure under this recruitment process such as written test and skill test. The applicants shall be subjected to an Aptitude Test with total 100 maximum marks.
To be Noticed : Candidates who applied for this competitive Examination must have to prepare perfectly to clear this examination and being select for the post. Most of the candidates are ignorant about scheme of exam and its prescribed syllabus. But, nothing about to worry here we are going to discuss the pattern of written test and its syllabus under selection procedure prescribed by India Post.
Exam Pattern : Scheme of Exam for MTS & Postman written test is as follows :
► The written examination will be multiple choice objective type.
► The question paper consist of four parts [Part A, Part B, Part C(I) & Part C(II)] of 100 marks.
► Time Duration will be of 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
► There is no negative marking.

Qualifying Marks Criteria : The minimum qualifying marks to be obtained in each part of the Aptitude test is prescribed as under :


Unreserved – 40% marks i.e minimum 10 marks in each part and 40 % in aggregate.

OBC- 37% marks i.e minimum 9 marks in each part and 37% in aggregate.

SC/ST- 33% marks i.e minimum 8 marks in each part and 33% in aggregate.

Exam Syllabus : Syllabus of Exam for MTS and Postman written test is given hereunder :
Part A (General knowledge) : Indian Geography, Freedom Struggle, Culture & Sports, General Polity & Constitution of India, Indian Economy, General Science, Current Affairs and Reasoning & Analytical ability of 10th Standard. (Examiner may set 2 to 3 questions from each topic)
Part B (Mathematics) : Number Systems, Computation of whole Numbers, Decimals & Fractions, Relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Profit & Loss, Simple Interest, Average, Discount, Partnership, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Use of Tables & Graphs, Mensuration (Examiner may set 1 to 2 questions from each topic)
Part C(I) (English) : Articles, Prepositions, conjunctions, tenses, verbs, synonyms & antonyms, vocabulary, sentence structure, Proverbs, Phrases, questions from a small unseen passage. etc (Examiner may set five questions from one unseen passage and 2-3 questions from remaining topics)
Part C(II) (Regional Language) : Mishr & Sanyukt Vakya, Vakyo ka Rupantaran, Swar Sandhi, Alankar, Muhavare & Lokoktiyan, Ashudh Vakya Shodhan, Apathit Gadyansh. (Examiner may set five questions from one apathit Gadyansh and 2 to 3 questions from remaining topics). These topics shall be replicated in Regional Languages.
