Orissa Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) will conduct Written exam for recruitment of posts of Laboratory Assistant. Nowadays Competition Level become very high so Competitive Exams gets too tougher. Candidates facing critical problem of “What to prepare” and “How to prepare” to give their best in their exams. So, here we are providing the latest Syllabus & Exam Pattern of Lab Assistant Exam conducting by Orissa Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for Lab Assistant written test is as follows :
► There shall be a written examination of 300 marks consisting of two paper 3 followed by Viva-Voce test of 30 marks.
► The Commission at their discretion may adopt computer based on line test for the written examination.

Paper-I General Awareness
The questions in this paper shall be to test the candidate’s psychology and the general awareness. Questions on reasoning, aptitude and general awareness on science current affairs, geography, history of India & Odisha, Indian constitution, Socio Economic Political Development, Human rights, fundamentals of Computer etc. The questions will be of graduation standard & objective type multiple choices to be answered in OMR sheet or the Commission at their discretion may adopt online test on this paper.
Paper-II Technical Paper
There will be separate questions in the respective discipline viz. Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Psychology. The candidates will have to appear the on the specific subject as per their option exercised. The questions in the paper will be of multiple choices to be answered in OMR sheet or the Commission at their discretion may adopt online test on this paper.
Syllabus for Physics
Classical Mechanics, Mathematical Methods (only the differential eqn. and their solution, power series solution) Quantum Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Electronics, Quantum Mechanics, Solid State Physics, Nuclear and Particle Physics & Statistical Mechanics. The detail courses covered in the above Broad Head are same as the courses prescribed for Post Graduate studies in Physics & Applied Physics in the Universities of Odisha.
