About UPPSC: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is the state agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination for entry-level appointments to the various Civil Services of Uttar Pradesh.The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) came into existence on April, 1, 1937, with the main aim of recruiting candidates to various services in the state. The commission is regulated by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Regulation, 1976.
Subject And Syllabus For Examination:
►A paper on Highway Code, the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, Central Motor Vehicle rules, 1989 and Uttar Pradesh Motor Vehicle Rules, 1998. (50 Marks: 2 Hours)
►A paper consisting of question of the following subject: (i) Maintenance and upkeep of motor vehicles; (ii) Principal factors relating to road safety; (iii) Minor and major repairs of motor vehicle (iv) Mechanism and working of diesel, Petrol, gas and dual fuel engines. (v) Service check-up and model routine. (vi) Vehicular Air and Noise pollution. (100 Marks : 3 Hours)
►A practical on motor vehicles. (100 Marks) Personality Test. (30 Marks).
►Personality Test will be held by the commission after the Written and Practical Examination on Dates to be communicated in due course and will be confined to such number of candidates only as have qualified in the Written and the practical test, candidates will also have to pass a test in driving heavy transport vehicles.
Some Information About The Examination & Interview: The dates and venue for the examination shall be informed by the Commission later on through e-Admit Card.
► All original certificates shall be verified at the time of interview. Candidates will also be required to furnish four passport size Photographs, two unattested and two attested by their Head of Department or Head of the Institution where they have received education or by a Gazetted Officer at the time of Interview.
► Candidates serving under the Central or State Government will have to produce No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of interview issued by the competent authority.
Note: Use of electronic devices like mobile phone, calculator etc. is NOT PERMITTED in EXAM Materials like log table, book, notebook, etc. should NOT be brought into the examination hall.
